Pale Lagers

Pale Lagers are golden beers that can have varying degrees of hop bitterness.  They were developed in Germany in the mid 19th century.  They are by far the most common style of beers consumed in the world, with American Style Lagers being the largest of these.  Many American Style Lagers are brewed with non-typical grains such as rice or other maize.  Beers such as Budweiser fit into this category, and tend to be most commonly by the largest brewing companies.

Pale Lagers tend to be dry and clean tasting.  There flavor is usually pretty bland and subtle, and no single ingredient tends to stand out.
